President Putin of Russia seems to think that by destroying hospitals and medical centers and shopping malls and now universities, that he has found the formula for making the Ukrainians come to their senses and surrender. History is replete with absolute rulers who fail in disgrace and absolutely by reaching out too far one last time. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the fallen and to the families and friends of those killed in today's senseless shelling and missile attacks.
