  1. Russia won't stop the war for one good reason: reparations. They will have to pay enormous amounts of money for more than a generation to pay for the damage and loss of life and war crimes that their troops have committed. If they continue and bring other countries into the conflict, they can delay and maybe even avoid having to pay. Russia's ally is China and if we look on the other side of the world, China is sending planes into Taiwanese airspace to get our eyes off the ball in the Ukraine. What we have to be right now is calm and listen to wise counsel from people like the Polish Prime Minister Duda, French President Macron, Prime Minister Johnson, Chancellor Olaf Sholz from Germany and of course the Ukrainian President Zelensky. What has come out of the war is how the marvelous Polish people and allied nations who have taken in their brothers and sisters in time of need.
