  1. With all due respect to Professor Michael Clarke, aren't the Russians capable of pulling off a double whammy here? What do I mean by that? Well, for one thing, no one believes the Kiev would be behind such a feeble attack because if they wanted to, the Ukrainians could have blown up key defense industries with their drones or really caused something much more destructive in nature. This looks like a lame attempt by Russian intelligence services to manufacture a phony attack and then use it as an excuse to rachet up the war against Ukraine.
