Thank you for making the law a noble and exciting profession once again. I am sure you have inspired many wavering young people in your country and around the world trying to decide between running a hedge fund or going into law to take a chance on the wheels of justice. Wade v. Roe has been struck down by the Supreme Court and that means a lot of women have suddenly lost control over their uteruses. What I am writing to you about is one way to move ahead in these troubled waters. What about using all of the pent-up frustration and put it to work finding a way to eliminate the root-cause of the Supreme Court's ruling? Why not abolish the Electoral College which put George W. and Donald J. into The Oval Office?

Dear LegalEagle, Thank you for this devastating indictment on the political system in your country. Can we ask you why the founders came up with the idea to give the 'king', the president the power of using pardons. Isn't it obvious that they would be used extensively by a corrupt politician to cover his back? What is most striking in these days of thousands of your fellow citizens dying in ICU units around your country is how anyone in their right mind could go and play a game of golf while people's lives are coming apart either by illness or lack of funds or food relief. This will stick to President Trump like chewing gum to pavement for the rest of his life. We know he has a strong base and that the Republicans are standing with him until his last day, and we know that you cannot fact-check a Trump supporter who is in an emotional state, because they will only dig down deeper in their support of him. But once Trump's supporters are out of range of his retribution spears, he will see a sea change in how he is being evaluated. People will see this is a person, who through no fault of his own, is someone with mental illness that many Americans up until now have not been ready to accept. What is clear from your report today is that a very corrupt and mentally unstable person was put in charge of the most powerful nation on Earth and it is only by a twist of fate that he has not inflicted more damage on your country or the world at large. History will not be kind to Donald J. Trump, but you as well as all of us around the world can learn from this 4 year road to madness from a rogue president. We must learn to make sure that no person with obvious mental incapacities and a case-load of criminal allegations trailing him ever is allowed to be in power again

Legal Eagle, I have said it before and I will say it again. You are an inspiration for many young people seeking a career in the law profession. Society cannot function without a legal system. One beef I have that probably no one will agree with, but it makes me angry when some of these lawsuits get into the millions of dollars and can ruin a business and make the accident victim and the like, instant multi-millionaires and ditto for the lawyers. I think people should be reasonably recompensed, but nothing more. This is where I think the American legal system has gone off the tracks.

Legal Eagle, you sure know your stuff, but I don't know about you, but seeing Sam Bankman-Fried getting sent up for decades in prison makes me sad. Same with his co-conspirators. Something about Sam's legal mess and the others just makes me feel so bad for them and everyone who lost money and how bad decisions can put you behind bars.

Legal Eagle, your introduction to Elon Musk rings wrong on this side of the world. You have been the shining example of what a modern lawyer is all about. Leave your personal feelings of an international icon at the law-library door. Stick to looking at highly politicized legal hassles from the center stage.

What you have to do Legal Eagle is not call Elon Musk derogatory names or anyone else who is on the world stage insulting names---if at all possible. It does not do anyone any good and Musk simply played his hand wrong. We all know what happened; he got distracted: he had a rocket going to mars, his car company in trouble in China and in the turmoil, he wrongly calculated a deal to buy Twitter. The Twitter execs did everything they could to dissuade Musk from buying the company and jacked up the buying price to such a ridiculous level that Musk took the bait while his ego championed out and the next day he woke up with a whopper of a hang over and holes in all his pockets. What must be done is to get this sour play off of the front page in America, because it is making entrepreneurship look ugly. Musk has bitten into the electric eel deal of the century and he's only on life support because his money makers are still coughing up the dough, but the writing is on the bathroom wall: Get Musk an off ramp, put Jack Dorsey back in control of his baby, for example and let this fade away into Ken and Barbie land before things take a turn down a blind alley and a wonderful idea that became a world-class company ends up with Elon Musk leading a software parade of fleeced investors limping with bare feet on broken glass.

It's just an opinion, but from where I sit which is about 2,000 kilometers from Kiev, the Chinese balloon circus is doing exactly what the Chinese intended it to do: act as bait to catch a sucker. All things military or like this absurd balloon controversy is pushing the Chinese to center stage and making the USA look like it has been had. This should never have been front page news and that's because American / Chinese relations have to be dealt with discreetly. You don't make fun of them on center stage because it somehow makes America come off as daft and makes your President Biden look bad all around. The Chinese will never admit it; but in my humble opinion, this was their plan and it's done exactly what they wanted it to: make the US President look flustered and out of his league and thereby making China look like the number one super power over the US. This was a set up from the get go and your Secretary of State should have known better and gone to his Chinese appointment with President Xi. This over reaction to a staged incident conceived to have China be the one to call the shots from now on has succeeded. I am an artist and not a military specialist, and I sincerely hope everything I have said here turns out to be wrong. But my message is clear: don't let absurd incidents put China on the center stage again.

As a lawyer---and you do the law profession a great service---do you agree with my thinking in that the US Government should accept the fact that the top secret, secret and classified documents have certainly been photographed and are now in the hands of one or more of your adversaries? These documents were lying around in cardboard boxes and who knows how many foreign agents posing as delivery service people, maintenance and cleaning staff, hotel staff or other types of workers would have had plenty of occasions to rifle through those boxes and expertly photograph the documents and put them perfectly back in place. A phony plumbing problem could have sent a 'plumber' into the unsecure room, for example. This is Spy School 101 stuff. But the really terrifying thing is that Trump seems to have chosen specific documents to take with him---was he told what to bring out of The White House by foreign operatives? It just is a gut feeling that I believe your nations national security has been compromised by a former president bent on revenge and probably being blackmailed by an adversary to boot. It's a theory.

You do a tremedous job showing the incredible knowledge it takes to be a lawyer. I've said it before and I'll say it again: you're excellent way of presenting the law will bring many, many young people into your distinguished career. I divest to ask this question. Could it be possible to have the nations top psychiatrists testify that by overturning Roe v. Wade, severe mental health concerns will affect millions of women who would otherwise have decided the baby for example, from their father. Couldn't a medical precedent be brought forward to show that by not allowing a woman to choose to abort or not, great bodily harm might be the result?

Legal Eagle, may I please ask you a question that doesn't pertain to this vocast and perhaps you could answer in one of your future vocasts? The Salman Rushdie stabbing made me think of perhaps putting a label on books that could incite hatred or violence. What do I mean by that? Well, if Rushdie’s original book The Satanic Verses (correct me if I got the title wrong) was rated a XRS on the book cover meaning---Restricted for adults and highly sensitive material----perhaps then he could justify writing it by saying it was clearly marked not for people with religious sensibilities. A PG book would be for parents choosing a book that they felt was okay for their children. An XXX could be for a sexually-charged book. Could it work legally and do you think it might at least give people and publishers who write and publish controversial books and articles and journals and newspapers a way to protect readers who might find the material offensive?

Dear Legal Eagle, Thank you for your excellent videocasts on all aspects of the law. You are an inspiration to young people looking for a career that makes a difference. One thing I would like to ask, and before I do I should say I'm watching this from the other side of the world in a society with a wall to wall police presence. Secondly, shouldn't you wait for an investigation on these alleged police actions that resulted in the death of people being arrested? Don't the cops get to have their say? What I have heard is the first thing to do before thinking about police reform is to make every 5th day on duty a training day. Period. You work four days and on day five you go through training. It would make officers aware of new techniques and give them time to practice a lot of the tricky situations that they are often in. Lastly, it should not be forgotten how many police officers in America are killed on duty and also how many get shot in the face arresting petty dealers. Can any of us imagine going to work, having a bad day and getting shot in the face, losing our job, having to spend the rest of our lives nursing wounds that will never heal and living on a small compensation? Every cop I have ever met was divorced. Ask a cop about his job. Do you know they only deal with the people at the end of the spectrum; people that don't wash, that don't obey an officer of the law and outright cop killers? They have to work a new shift every week to avoid getting on the take; that means you don't sleep on one of the shifts, afternoons, for example. Also, most cops are shot in the sunny afternoons when things are nice outside and they have their guard down. We have to realize the cops in America have very little training, and then go out and try to arrest someone who breaks away while they are handcuffing him and takes their taser and fires back at them while he's running. A taser knocks you out for 5 seconds; count 'em: one thousand one… Plenty of time for the wrongdoer to come back and kick your head in, take your gun and shoot you in the groin. Cops are trained to gun down anyone that takes their taser, because it's literally the bad guy or them. And don't forget, we're asking people with their lives in danger to operate like they have law degrees, who are bullet proof and have wonderful personalities and Don't get nervous when the person they're arresting could break them in two. In a perfect world only people with kind hearts and willing to turn the other cheek would be the police communities hire to deal with people who only want to break the law.

It is incredible to understand how someone who is the son of a sitting president would do ANYTHING that would cause his family and especially his father who is the President embarrassment on a national and international level. Why on Earth would Hunter Biden be acting so irresponsibly? Hunter is acting like a teenager.

Thank you for showing to your countrymen and countrywomen and to people watching this like myself from other parts of the world that the law in your country is respected and alive and well. You bring greatness to your profession by showing how much you believe in Flynn being guilty, and that nothing can justify throwing the case out by AG Barr. What is astounding is the number of former DOJ officials and prosecutors demanding Barr step down and how he keeps going on doing everything he can to be the president's personal fixer. Congratulations on a top notch videocast, many young people will go into the law profession seeing how good you do your job and what a fine profession it is. Best of luck. Be well-

Dear Legal-eagle for holding yourself together while your nation’s history has a new footnote. From where we sit on the other side of world, the 2021 insurrection looked more like a staged-event, a college-kids-style effort to disrupt the capital proceedings than an angry mob than anything resembling what happened in 1812. However; what is tragic is that this riot has caused the death of 4 people. One woman was shot to death. This is the worst part and Senators Ted Cruz, Steve Daines, Lankford, Kennedy, Blackburn, Haggerty, Marshall, Lummis, Braun, Hawley, and Tuberville will receive their punishment for fomenting dissention in a way that is far worse than death, because they are going to have nightmares for the rest of their lives for having been a part of disillusional scheme to get Trump and themselves re-elected. As far as President Trump goes, we know he’ll process this in a way to make it look like Vice-President Pence and others should take the blame. Nevertheless, four person’s wives or husbands or kids or parents will be making plans to bury them and try to come to grips on how they lost a loved one to a lost cause and deranged president. Say what you want, John Bolton, who was on a CNN interview has been severely criticized for a number of issues throughout his career, but he’s always got a clear head every time there is trouble on the horizon. He doesn’t do anything to deflect the blame from Trump or the others. But like you, Legal-eagle, he knows his stuff. He says that with only 7 business days left in President Trump’s presidency, the only thing to do is to count out the days because there isn’t time to do anything. Emotions are high; there are plenty of ways to keep Trump busy doing things he won’t get into trouble for. Again, what is appalling to us over here is to see that people had to lose their lives on what was really a campaign stunt for the supporting senators and Trump’s re-election in 4 years. Do you want to know the absolute worst thing anyone can do to Trump after 20 January? Do this and he will never have a good day: never mention him by name again; only as the former president. It’s just a hunch, but I’d bet the farm he’d never get over not having his name mentioned. This would be his worst nightmare. You will get through this -

Thank you for your excellent show, legal-eagle. Mr Carroll, As an overseas viewer, may I please ask you to consider this idea for putting an end to mass shootings or severely limiting the casualties. The 2nd Amendment is a wonderful freedom you in America have, but it does not work if everyone is not wearing a gun. A leg holster on every capable, trained and mentally stable adult would put an end to the shooting epidemic that is pulling your beautiful country under the waves of uncertainty and fear like a sea anchor. The mass shooters---and I’m not a psychologist---never attack a police station or national guard outpost. Why? Because they know they wouldn’t get far. As strange and uncomfortable and disgusting it might sound to many people, if all American eligible adults wore a side arm, there would no longer be these horror-story reporting all of you have become thankfully numb to report. These cowardly attacks that leave innocent people dead and whole families torn apart by the loss of a loved one who might also be the only bread-winner is beyond belief. Yes; I know: It’s easy for me to criticize, but I believe if every governor was seen giving his or her next political address with a sidearm visible to the viewers, it would send out the message that the only way you can have the 2nd Amendment work is if everyone wears a gun. What is most important is to stop the needless loss of life by nipping the problem in the bud: confronting head on the unstable people with a dose of their own medicine. Our hearts and prayers go out to the families of the dead and for those who were wounded at the Fed Ex facility. Dear LegalEagle, As an overseas viewer I am stunned by your expertise; I believe you are going to see a throng of young people wanting to follow in your footsteps and become lawyers, attorneys, judges and people who want the rule of law upheld in your country. What I think President Trump represents is how mental illness is a part of the human family and that there needs to be more definitions of what kinds of mental illness exist and therefore the public will be more aware and perhaps in the future avoid putting into the highest office in your land, and leader of the free world, a person with obvious flaws in his personality that are serious enough to warrant immediate dismissal from a job where the person in charge, Donald J. Trump, has the keys to the nuclear codes. Whether President Trump is ever judged pyschologically impaired is a job for health professionals, but as someone who is watching his antics from the other side of the world, I think we have to thank Fox News, and especially Sean Hannity, House Majority leader McConnell and Senator Graham for supporting a person who in my opinion lacks parts of his psyche and has alternative facts that don't jive with anyone elses. President Trump is someone to whom the whole world must accept responsiblity for being elected, because we have all let our guard down because of one thing: our portable devices have taken our eyes off the ball. We have collectively let a barking madman inhabit The White House.

As someone taking this in on the other side of the world, what will be unnerving to me is if Bill Barr does not step down after more than 2 thousand former DOJ officials have called for him to resign. Your constitution needs an upgrade, n'est pas'? Could you give it a try to write up-to-date laws?
