  1. Everyone has to put their ideas out there on how to help people in regions where it gets excessively hot. I am an inventor, and my instincts tell me we have got to do what the ostrich does when it faces danger. I have never seen this happen, but apparently sometimes it puts its head in the ground. Boys and girls, we have got to make shade on a scale unheard of before in the hot belt regions and the only way to do that is to construct underground cities that could be carved out of the rock or constructed like parking garages under sky scrapers and probably wouldn't even need air conditioning. The next thing to think about would be to have hot air balloons---outsized of course---able to be put up around cities that would offer some shade at, say, 10 AM to 18 PM; 8 hours of shade that would help some people by giving them a break from the hot sun. We have got to think like martial arts, where they use the energy of the opponent to win the fight. How can we use the heat in those regions to work for us?
