  1. Jack Teixeira's superior officers would have known or had a feeling Jack was a security risk, because his behavior in the first minutes they were introduced to him would have--should have--sent off alarm bells. They are trained to spot outliers and when someone is even close to being extremist, it is a red flag in the spy business. Jack's background and off-work activities should also have been scrutinized. Why his behavior didn't cause suspicion to his superiors or to his parents is troubling. This is a major embarrassment for the intelligence community in America and the people who are responsible for security in the organization must be replaced. American intelligence agencies are getting to be known as a sieve; this is not good and one can imagine how much work it is going to take to get back trust from friendly nations and agencies who have been spied upon. This spill of across-the-board intelligence agencies' secret data has placed a dark cloud over the Administration. American spy tactics are now known six ways from The Oval Office and above all else, this is inexcusable no matter what sort of spin that they are going to put on it and heads should roll. To carelessly allow government secrets to be viewed by a junior member of the intelligence community by someone just beginning in the business shows how naïve and incompetent those at the top really are, and one can imagine that others like Jack Teixeira have done and/or are doing the same thing but haven’t been caught yet. There is no excuse for this...
