  1. Peter, surely the Germans under Merkel would have known this day would come where Putin would turn off the spigot and blackmail the living h.e. double tooth picks out of them. Former Chancellor Merkel said she could not trust Putin. Why would she have knowingly let Germany fall into the quicksand strategy of Vladmir the great? Can't coal plants be booted, nuclear plants taken out of moth balls?
