  1. here is one caveat to everything you have said Peter, and what I would interject in the discussion is what is going to be happening in 120 days from now. The Ukrainians will have mounted their long-awaited offensive and assault on cutting off the Russian land-bridge and going all out to take Putin's jewel: Crimea. The bridge to Crimea will surely have been blown apart. Putin is going to be surrounded by his entourage and his top generals who are going to say that there is no way that they can keep Crimea and that they must retreat or lose all. This is when I believe we should all be prepared for the first tactical nuclear missile to be launched from Belarus at Crimea when sufficient numbers of Russian soldiers and citizens have been evacuated. It will mean a Chernobyl Crimea for all time to come, but Putin will have won in his mind. Let us not forget the old military adage: imagine what your enemy thinks you are going to do next and then do the opposite. Why would PUtin bluff about setting up a nuclear strike and fool us all and launch a nuke from Belarus? Because he could blame it on Lukashenko making a mistake and thereby excluding Russia from any blame in the future...
