  1. Peter, isn't this really a red flag moment for the world with President Xi skipping BRICS and now the G-20 summit? I don't know about you, but something does not line up the ducks in my pond. Uh-uh; nope, for what it's worth, this is what I think: it is a major troubled waters incident and it is going to lead to some sort of Chinagate. It's just a guess, but I believe we had all better be on the lookout for more than spy balloons careening around the world any time soon, because whatever is coming out of the gates this time from the mysterious middle kingdom is something that could very well make the Ukraine war look minor in comparison. Could this be Xi's moment to help his beleaguered friend in Russia and go for broke on his Taiwan invasion plans?
