One can appreciate Victor Davis Hanson's love of his country and disdain for it being mal-governed, but no one is going to be able to convince me that former President Donald J. Trump is anything but a person totally unfit to be Commander in Chief of the most powerful nation the world has ever known. What is it that attracts straight-forward progressive thinkers like Hanson to even want to be associated with a man like Trump whose dishonestly and lack of awareness of world affairs is staggering? There are so many, many other good candidates with impeccable credentials and yet Trump is the failsafe candidate, creeping ahead in the polls, delivering nonsensical speeches that frighten America's allies to death.
