I am so happy your wife was saved from something that could have been fatal. You were a single parent for a week and I hope you never have to wing it on your own another time. I was a single parent like that except that my wife never recovered and it is very rare for the man to be awarded custody of the child, but that's what happened to me. Suddenly I was on my own with a little girl. To cut a long story short, it was an incredible experience with highs and lows and finished unfortunately with my daughter having to be hospitalized for life. She has an incurable illness and we tried and tried to do everything possible not to have this outcome. As far as regrets, I have got a lot because the most important person in my life was lost in my care. But my message to you David is to make the best out of every day you have with your child and wife (girlfriend) and take a lot of photographs and have the best ones printed.
