What is obvious is that the desert sand needs to be re-examined and tests need to be made to change its compostion. The round grains need to be transformed and this might be accomplished simply by heating conveyor belts enough so that the grains become rough edged. This must be the way forward because there are deserts full of sand and it only needs to be transformed into river sand-like qualities. This should be the focus of scientists: transform desert sand into concrete-friendly sand.
