Buzz Aldrin and Neal Armstrong were real guys who were interviewed MANY times over the years. If it was fake someone involved would have snitched by now. But no one has. We made it there. Over time various administrations lowered NASA''s budget which really slowed them down. You guys should get ahold of NASA and have an astronaut on to interview!
