This woman is so stupid. Probably never read a book. Yeah, there were BAD slave owners. But MOST took care of their slaves. Slaves cost MONEY. And they wanted to protect their investment. AND they needed the slaves to do work. If they were all as bad as they say now there would have been none left by the time the civil war came around! There is also recordings of ex slaves telling how the whites were teaching them to read and write.
