THIS is exactly why the south left the union and we ended up in civil war. They were fighting for states rights. They felt the federal government had way too much power over them. And that was back in the 1850's! SO they had it and tried to break away. The government is supposed to work FOR the American public. It's sure not doing that in Springfield!!
