  17. Working long hours, not getting enough sleep, balancing family time with an overwhelming amount of work. Just another reminder of how fast things can go sideways when we lose our concentration even for a second. If we’re lucky we learn from our mistakes, pay our stupid tax and move on. If we’re not lucky… our worse nightmare, the wife finds us under something 12 hours later. THAT thought alone is what makes me think carefully about following my personal safety checklist every time. As you said “why didn’t I just raise the wheels off the ground”? Who knows why you took a shortcut only you can answer that as part of the “live and learn” process. I’m glad you’re ok and Brave enough to post this as an example that might save others the grief. Much respect.

  24. I have a couple of novice questions; With the broken brake bleeder, why not try to loosen it while it’s still hot from the weld? I’ve heated stuck bolts before and immediately wrenched on them with good results— never tried it on brake parts or something this small so just wondering. Also with all the rust damage to this truck I can see how it would still be useful as a snow plow machine or occasionally moving something around the yard but I don’t see being in it long enough in the summer time to run the AC. Why spend the money on an AC compressor? Thanks.

  27. To me it’s not so much one system is better than the other ( imperial or metric) it’s trying to use both systems together that causes problems (mistakes). Machines need to be one or the other.

  41. Can you (or anybody on here) explain what makes this specifically an electronics bench and therefore costs more than $2000? Also, you have a CNC machine and a 3D printer, why not make your own brackets for those bins?

  42. So I had to do some research after watching this, thanks for that. I wasn’t tired of hearing about AI because frankly I hadn’t been following it closely until you mentioned it. From what I gather ChatGTP will learn the more it’s used and the more feedback it gets. Ideally you’d plug your diagnostic computer into the vehicle and inter-web, hit the go button, and let ChatGPT make adjustments until it solves the problem via trial and error. After all isn’t that what we’ve done as humans over the years? The more it runs these trial and error “fixes” the more it learns and eventually solves problems instantly. All in all AI scares me and I’ll continue to Watch Wes Work to learn what to do. Thanks.
