  1. Working long hours, not getting enough sleep, balancing family time with an overwhelming amount of work. Just another reminder of how fast things can go sideways when we lose our concentration even for a second. If we’re lucky we learn from our mistakes, pay our stupid tax and move on. If we’re not lucky… our worse nightmare, the wife finds us under something 12 hours later. THAT thought alone is what makes me think carefully about following my personal safety checklist every time. As you said “why didn’t I just raise the wheels off the ground”? Who knows why you took a shortcut only you can answer that as part of the “live and learn” process. I’m glad you’re ok and Brave enough to post this as an example that might save others the grief. Much respect.
