  1. It’s not that oil was better 30 years ago it’s that it was made for those vehicles 30 years ago. My thought is it can’t hurt to add the zinc and it’s not that expensive. I see your argument about old tractors and cheap oil but I think comparing those situations to car engines is arguing apples and oranges. Just one old guy’s humble opinion.
