I absolutely love your editing style. You don’t make us watch any of the reassembly process even in time lapse. You stop and talk about critical processes or important information when needed and I appreciate that. A testament as to how far this channel has come—a ten-fold increase in subscribers in little more than a year. Keep the quality content coming and it’ll be 1 million real soon. 👍🏻

Found this channel today, I guess I’ll be binge watching this weekend.

F’n brilliant, which is probably why I didn’t think of it.

I’m continually impressed with how far this channel has come in such a short time, especially considering you’ve done most of it shade-tree style or in a barn with a dirt floor. The word awesome is over used but it certainly applies to you and what you’ve done here. Looking forward to what the future brings. 👊👍🏻

Very useful build. Maybe add a removable pull handle, it might pull around easier than pushing.

Someone took care of or at least cared enough about this truck to use Wix filters so that’s a good sign (except maybe the part about the missing air filter🙂). I can’t believe anyone would try to make the argument against pre-filling oil filters with fresh CLEAN oil. Awesome score man looking forward to this project.

So you never got the CV joint off? Everything about this channel screams 1M plus subscribers. Entertaining, humorous and educational. Keep up the good work man it’s paying off.

I wonder if the the water leak issue on the Land Rover is actually plugged drain tubes? Thanks for the fleet update, looks like you have your dance card full for a while.
7
Hey glad to see you back, been waiting to see the rest of this build. Thanks. PS—you could totally pull off the cooking show.
6
I guess I wasn’t the only one yelling this at the computer screen. 😂
5
Yeah I think I’d have at least poured 2’ deep footers under the columns but that’s just a guess on my part. Strange thing is he usually overbuilds stuff.
5
Dang it, every time I watch this channel I find something else a gotta spend money on. Now I need a set of these mirrors for my truck. Congratulations on the subscriber count, I knew early on this channel was going to takeoff. Good on ya!
5
My God people are brutal about this trailer build. 😂 I guess they’re all following along with their own build and can’t continue until you do. Your sarcasm and humorous comments are second to none. Keep doing Waldo stuff.👍🏻

Making holes in your carpet for the seat bracket screws—heat a nail with a torch and push through from underneath. It’ll melt the carpet fibers so they won’t fray.

Wish I’d have found this channel sooner. Pretty cool that your subscribers have more than doubled in the two months since you released this video. Congratulations!

I agree with your assessment of the rebuild by the time you pull the heads you’ll be half way there anyway. Really loving this series hopefully you won’t have any more serious issues but the whole cooling thing has me wondering. That’s one heck of a good mechanic friend to loan you those tools. Where can I get one of those mechanic shirts with the YouTube patch,? That was cool.
3
Awesome stuff, thanks for the video and the dealer auction tip. For coolant draining, I’ve found a large storage tub is about the best way to go to catch most of it. Thanks again.

I’d give serious thought to another oil change and run what you got until it quits, who knows maybe you get lucky. If it’s going to die anyway you might as well use it up. I’m not a big fan of the LS swap but hey it’s your time and money. I like the wrecked Range Rover idea. I appreciate you plowing through the illness and fever to get content out but please take care of yourself and get some rest. Being a day or two late for your cross country trip isn’t that big a deal you can make up the time. Peace

100% this.

Where’s Waldo? We need a new video it’s been too long man!

I was thinking round bar or maybe even 1/2 tube if you can bend it smoothly. But on the inside of the fender well, then cap the square tube at a 45 where it terminates at the fender opening. The bumper looks nice and gives the tail a simple, finished look.
2
Hey Waldo is back, yeah!
2
Red paint should add at least 10 hp.
2
My heart stoped when you showed the bent bolt—I can imagine how you felt. Good save.

Sounds just about right, not too loud with a slightly deep tone. Must be nice having the lift to do this work rather than crawling around in the dirt. Cheers.

Thanks for taking us along interesting how things are done differently from state to state. Did you have any difficulty getting insurance coverage? My wife is an adjuster (she does property now but started out in auto) she says her company won’t insure cars with a salvage title. Something seems fishy about the independent adjuster’s estimate. I kind of wonder if he totaled it for a friend to buy or he knew the owner somehow. Update: after having done some more research on this I found that most insurance companies will only provide liability insurance on salvaged vehicles. As to the Independent Adjuster (IA); turns out they get paid a percentage of the loss (the higher the loss the more the make) take that how you will. Most companies hire IAs when they are overwhelmed with a large number of losses. The independent’s work is normally checked by a company adjuster but then again those adjusters are overwhelmed too so …take that how you will.

Odd how that sensor was unplugged I wonder if that was someone’s attempt to “diagnose” or fix the DPF issue. I also wonder if the gas version would have survived as many miles as the diesel, this motor should easily give you another 100k especially the way you maintain things. After reading through the comments about the settlement with Mercedes and other companies on the emissions issues I’d be interested in hearing if this vehicle is still under warranty for those parts. Awesome video as always.
2
Nice build, maybe a trailer jack on the frame to hold it up when you disconnect it.
2
Just came back to watch your first video again now that you’re sneaking up on 300k subscribers. Wow you’ve come a long way in a short time relatively speaking. 👍🏻🇺🇸
2
$100 of diesel gets you 20 gals, AWESOME!
2
Somebody needs to tell you Brother…you have a problem 😂. My neighbor does the same thing he’s got one “good deal” after another lined up in his backyard waiting to be worked on.
2
Where Waldo? We miss you, hope all is well.
2
Very well thought out build, your welding skills have reached next level. The weight of the fuel at 80 gallons is about 550 lbs, how much does the steel tank weigh? Have you noticed any differences in handling with the added weight? Thanks.
2
Congratulations on half a million subscribers! Merry Christmas.

Peter Zila, the best aluminum welder on YouTube and making a career of guess staring with other YouTubers! Love this informative video, thanks.

Merry Christmas.

I almost couldn’t watch when you were on the ladder lifting that beam in place 🥴. Seems like the stuff I used to do and hoped my wife didn’t catch me. I’m sure you’re going to get a lot of comments about stability and the size of the slab (I’m concerned about that too) but if it meets specs and you’re comfortable under it that’s what matters. I was confused like the others why you wouldn’t just upgrade this building but then I saw the lift really doesn’t raise to a convenient height I understood. Looking forward to seeing you get some projects done. Merry Christmas.
2
@WaldosWorld I’m sure it will be, thanks for the update.

I only found your channel last week so I’ve been planning catch up. My paint jobs are 25 footers so I can’t say anything bad about yours. That Aspen is definitely a poser.
1
Coming along nicely. You have become quite the fabricator on this build.
1
You can never go wrong with a big ass bearing separator. 😂 I’ve really enjoyed watching this build, cool stuff.
1
@WaldosWorld haha, understatement of the year. 😅

What is the VAT in Denmark?

Nice rig, it reminds me of the generators we had in the Air Force. You did well getting a diesel, propane is way to expensive no matter how you slice it. The 3 phase mode will be nice if you need to run any heavy shop equipment in the future. I’d consider building a carport over it and running the exhaust stack through the roof, it’ll be handy when you get heavy snow.
