  2. I would almost bet this is a dealship scam. “Hey your cars transmission is on the way out, gonna cost $5k to replace, over 104k miles, not really worth the expense. Why don’t we get you in a new car today and we’ll give you max trade in value on your broken down vehicle.” Then they sell your used vehicle for twice (if not more) what they gave for trade in value.
