You can’t save them all Matt, let somebody else have some fun every once in awhile—it’ll come back to you when your buddy finds something he knows is in your wheelhouse. Thanks for the video!

Love the look on your face every time you get one of these old machines running. Don’t ever lose that enthusiasm. 👍🏻
269
Dude! You scored on those containers, the contents alone easily pays what you spent. Good on ya.
210
The little boy smile you always have on your face when you first get something running, never lose that. Nice work guys.
50
Unfortunately the only ones that ever wins when you call a lawyer, is the lawyer.
45
When Toro mowers were actually made by Toro.
39
I 100% agree about not liking to cutdown healthy trees but sometimes you have to do what you have to do. Congratulations on seeing your dream start to come together.
38
Mark Wallis Could not have said it better myself.
31
Thanks to guys like you and Sam these old machine will be around for generations to see how America got it done when it needed do-in. Good on ya! And for all those “Carbon Footprint” naysayers out there, there’s a Bucyrus-Erie model 1850-B electric shovel on display in SE Kansas that—at one time was the largest ELECTRIC shovel in the world. Ironically it dug coal in a strip mine back in the 60s and 70s.
30
🤣 I wouldn’t recommend it unless you have the proper tool to torque a plastic jam nut to 15 ft lbs.
28
Hard to believe there was a tree growing up through that wheel loader a month ago.
25
100% agree. Also keeping in mind these old Jeeps were made to be rugged and maintained in the field so there’s plenty of parts and support out there.
24
Another good video Matt, I don’t think I’d call it a disappointing end. You fixed the main issues and discovered few minor problems along the way but nothing you can’t handle in due time. The nice thing about these old jeeps is they’re easy to work on and there are plenty of experts in the Jeep community to offer advise. The seat frame and springs look to be in descent shape from what I can see. I’d take it to a local upholstery shop to get an idea on how much to pad and recover it.

Getting that thing on and off the trailer must have increased the pucker factor a bit. Happy New Year.
23
What amazes me is oil drain plugs for lawn tractors hasn’t changed a bit—put it somewhere that will allow the oil to go everywhere except the pan.
22
That concrete work is definely a young man’s game, made my back and knees ache just watching. Happy for you that you get your dream shop. Hard work is paying off.
22
Perfect for small drives and sidewalks, can’t beat the price either.
19
“Thats what I’m telling the wife.” 😂 Awesome. Pull starting the Peterbuilt should be a Ford commercial.
18
I totally agree with you on the “throw away society” point of view, I wish more people thought that way. Years ago when we moved in to our home, my wife and I hauled several pickup loads of trash to the dump after cleaning up our acreage. The landfill was a 100’ deep crater covering about 80 acres. About six years later I had to haul another load to the same dump—it was a 100’ tall mountain covering the same 80 acres. The sad thing is much of the stuff in there probably could’ve been recycled or reused somehow. Good work keeping that old mower working.
18
That goofy grin on your face when she fired was priceless. Good work gentlemen.
17
@michaelfraser5723 oh I bet you’ll be ok. It’s one word BTW and it’s a euphemism. Wheelhouse (noun) one's area of interest or expertise.
17
Simba Fishtigre not using diesel as a lubricant but using it as a flush. Notice he said use 2 gallons and let it sit 1 hour then drain and 2 oil changes?
16
It’s looking good, glad you’re able to make your dream shop happen. That’s quite a stockpile of logs you’ve got going there.
15
I first subscribed to this channel when you were building your container shop. I’d been searching for ideas for my own shop and found your channel. Even then you were talking about your dream shop, happy for you that it’s finally coming together and you haven’t had to take any shortcuts or compromise.
15
@tommiemartin726 😂 it doesn’t work that way. There’s not enough lumber there for a mill to bother with.
13
The overhead drone views during the opening sequence finally impressed upon me how big the new shop is. Saying it dwarfs the container shop is an understatement. As always great content Matt. 👍🏻
13
That thing would be perfect for starting brush fires. Make a cone shaped spout of sheet metal to focus the blower that will increase the airspeed (Bernoulli’s principle). Leave the intake the way it is just build a hopper over that spot so you can feed straw in, then use a removable expanded metal shield over the hopper.
12
@Tiersmoke92555 😂
11
Happy to hear you say you were going to adjust the headlights, too many people don’t know how to do that these days. Nothing is more irritating or dangerous than an oncoming car blinding you because the lights are misadjusted. I gave a thumbs up for the wife I think she earned it for putting up with you. 👍🏻
11
Well shoot, if you’re going to do it wrong you might as well use a lot of machines to do it 😂.
11
He could always rebuild it …with Lucas.
10
@DieselCreek 😂

Vise grips will save your ass every time! I keep several pair in the truck just for that reason. All that stuff in your pump makes me wonder what’s in the bottom of the tank.
9
“Well now, that was a little dirty in there”. LOL, like it was clean after you used the leaf blower on it 😂. Seriously this was an interesting process—one of those where you’re laying in an uncomfortable position trying to reach an awkward bolt-cussing away-thinking there has got to bet a better way. Yes on the skid steer purchase video and more Meatball he’s always entertaining.
9
@thesteelrodent1796 it is a thing for the “for hire” or commercial operator not for the average Matt working on his own property. Though it’s always a good idea.
9
HOW DARE YOU! 🤣
9
Ooh, big mistake thinking Christine is done, never let your guard down. 😱
8
Runs on gas and compresses air in the cylinders, right?
8
So didn’t he initially have a blown fuse on the fuel pump? I’d be worried about what caused that but I’m not an expert by any means.
7
I’m pretty sure I heard a sigh of relief when he lifted it off there also. 😂
7
Arthur Cunningham not to mention the would be a REALLY bad place to have a fire.
7
Me too I wish he’d do a more comprehensive video about this.
7
I think the “magical janga piece” was the center support beam that was sagging in the middle of the floor. It was holding up the far side and when it finally gave up the building toppled. Shame to see it come down but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
7
@jeremyhanna3852 true, but within the law. I don’t know if something fraudulent happen but if it smells fishy it’s usually fish. Proving it could be a a whole other money pit not worth pursuing though.
7
Drunk Dunc awesome.
7
Love the opening scene with the Semi-Super Villains, awesome stuff..
7
john dowe Doh!
6
Polecat54941 They don’t even put oil drain plugs on them anymore. Some even say you don’t need to change the oil just add as needed...that should tell you something.
6
Dirty Allis ain’t so dirty no more. There’s something very satisfying about “watching” someone pressure wash.
6
I think even Abomb79 himself would be proud of the way you welded-up and machined that shaft. Nicely done.
