  1. I helped my uncle knock one down years ago, your first instinct to knock some blocks out of the bottom with a sledgehammer was correct. We wrapped a cable around ours as high as we could, tied it off to a tractor and put enough tension on it to control the fall direction. Then we unbolted the bottom 3-4 hoops. It’s time consuming and a bit unnerving standing in the fall zone at first but we knocked out more than half a row of blocks before she toppled. A trick I learned —run the cable through an old truck tire so if it snaps the tire will absorb the backlash, not you. The reference to Clark Griswold was spot on 🤣🤣.
