  1. As a customer: when I look for a contractor (besides references and past work) I consider the vehicle he’s driving when he shows up to estimate the job. If it’s a well maintained older truck I feel like he’s a responsible, frugal person. If it’s the latest overpriced, Cummins powered, six pack duely I might raise an eyebrow as to what his priorities are. As far as your Dave Ramsey comment—100% a believer, I’m recently retired with a nice home and two vehicles all paid for.
