This death was completely avoidable if our police force got out of their cars and off their phones. The police in the UK need to be on the beat learning their neighbourhoods and interacting with the public, instead we have a police force that allows crime to happen and then reacts. This is not good enough and we need a real shake up. We do not need more officers we just need to get them out of their cars and sack lazy overweight officers at all levels.
