Sadly this should have been a discussion about 10 years ago and it’s obvious it’s another election swing attempt. If she promised to turn the social system into a coupon based system so money can’t be sent abroad then I think it would have some merit. We all know why the majority of the immigrants head to UK, it’s for the money and the soft touch system we operate. We need to ensure benefits are not exchangeable for cash and most certainly can’t be sent abroad. Our economy would recapture a large percentage of benefits if they were paid back into the UK market.
