There isn’t a single company in Europe who could have screwed this project up any more. It has been utterly riddled with fraud and money laundering at all levels. It should have had a team of forensic accountants working on it from the beginning. This has only happened due to the government not taking charge of the unscrupulous companies involved. Even if it gets shut down there should be full criminal inquiry into the whole affair and a team of forensic accountants should examine the project from day one and recover monies from individuals even if the companies no longer exist. The UK sadly could not manage its way out of a paper bag!
