The mainstream news media including DN are run by a bunch of leftists who do NOT believe in free speech, they believe in wokeism and politically correct speech and thus intentionally suppress any news that damages their left-wing agenda. That is very unhealthy for a free and democratic culture.

  3.  @TTTzzzz  In the US, the left runs the universities, Hollywood, the mainstream news media, the social media groups, a lot of the courts, the FBI, the CIA, the Justice department...etc. The Deep State is heavily populated by leftist democrats. Also, the US is not a democracy, it is a Republic.

  7. You are misinformed. In the US, most taxes are paid by rich people. The Koch brothers are basically libertarians. It is the right-wing which has been defending democracy. The American left is bent on total destruction of any opposition to its agenda. The American left appeases Islamists as we saw in Afghanistan, it also appeases the communist party of China...etc. Read " American Marxism " and " Unfreedom of the Press " by Mark Levin, you'll have a better understanding of the situation in the US.
