  2. "More jobs for us British people!" - yeah no. The jobs you're freeing up this way that don't yield enough of an income to support a family here in the UK. "Then those businesses should pay more!" - a lot of businesses - especially farms - exist on a financial knife-edge. If you sever their supply of cheap labour, without offering them some huge subsidy or grant in return, they are going to fail, en masse. "Then they should've been run more efficiently!" - think about that for a second. 'Efficiency' in agriculture is a byword for lower food safety standards, environmental degradation, and replacing human labourers with machines and pesticides. Bring on the flame war in the replies below.
