One is a nation with an undemocratic leader, a violent rogue agent who kills with impunity. It sponsors violent militias, and puts weapons in the hands of terrorists. Its black ops teams hack and then destroy nuclear power stations. It disregards international treaties, murders foreign diplomats and cozies up to Islamic fundamentalists. But enough about America - let's talk about Iran.

Killing the leaders of terrorist organisations only serves to strengthen the resolve of its members, and spreads sympathy for them among the public. This is why they call it "martyrdom", and it's why religious fundamentalists crave this type of violent death. So if what you want is endless war in the Middle East, assassinate away...

@Daniel Doran When people believe they are defending their homeland against an invader, there's no number of them you can kill to crush their resolve. Just ask the Germans how the London Blitz worked out. Idiot.

@shamanahaboolist Believe me, I know the answer to my own question. I just find it amusing that so many people are willing to condemn Iran, but not Saudi Arabia.

@breckborkert3111 Nobody's saying Iran isn't an awful country, and a bad actor. But that's not an excuse for America getting its hands dirty in this way.
