  3.  @Pining_for_the_fjords  On those grounds then, I can agree with you. But I think we have to be real with ourselves - there's a lot of groundwork to do, before we can even think of rejoining. I think our main priority right now should not be fighting Brexit (we lost), but fixing our broken mess of an electoral system. The biggest failure of Tony Blair's government, in my opinion, was leaving FPTP intact. As long as we resist switching to Proportional Representation, the Conservatives will continue to win majorities and form governments with minorities of the vote. (Also, the EU won't have us back if we haven't dropped FPTP, so it really jives well with our priorities).
