  1. Following Brexit is a perpetual exercise in double-think. Think I'm exaggerating? Here's just a few of the contradictory things this government wants you to believe: - Crashing out intentionally is how we get a better deal - and yet we don't actually need or want that deal at all. - The EU are hardline obstructionists who will never negotiate - and yet they're on the cusp of total capitulation, any day now. - The economy is doing just fine and everything is great - and yet we're in a state of emergency that only Brexit can solve. - We categorically don't want an election - and yet we're going to go on a campaign-style tour around the country. - Referendums are the purest most sacred form of democratic expression - which is why we absolutely cannot have another one. - Businesses and the economy are crying out for Brexit - except for all the ones that don't (which can go f--- themselves). - We love Europe and need Europeans to keep our NHS running - but we need to stop all the Europeans from taking our jobs. - The driving principle of Brexit is national self-determination - which is why we need to agree to whatever terms the Americans give us. I'm only just scratching the surface, but the whole argument supporting Brexit is made of sheer nonsense. Brexiters, particularly Johnson, have it both ways on so many issues. How do people not see it for the scam that it is?

  3.  @Alternate1234ify  Oh I have studied basic negotiation. Nowhere in the handbooks that I've read did they say anything about shooting yourself in the foot being a winning strategy. All we accomplish by walking away from the negotiating table is to... walk away from the table. Meaning no further progress can be made. Idiot.
