Can we save time and just call out Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson's lies, as soon as he says them? Rather than wasting everybody's time by pretending there's any doubt in the matter.

It's one of the few toys that ministers in the government can really play with, without needing Parliamentary consent. And yet it is vital for the wellbeing of all citizens everywhere, making it an emotive issue. Handle it right, and it's easy votes. So it, like education and the police have become political footballs that only get remembered for positive attention when the government is planning to throw in its chips and call another election.
