When I see Rees Mogg, I am seriously tempted to just immediately switch off and stop watching. I know that everything that comes out of his pie-hole will be an offensively feeble lie.

@shibuya3185 Let's say Rees Mogg really is intelligent. His being so does not preclude him being a big fat liar. You can be an intelligent liar or you can be a stupid liar. It has no bearing on your truthfulness.

@shibuya3185 How's this for starters - he shared in the lie that Brexit was going to lead to a massive drop in prices for a number of consumer goods, which then turned out to have been based on completely faulty economic theory. A literal maths error. @regreg6034 Yes, I'm sure he will - and he'll also "sort" the NHS out, disbanding it and making way for a system of privatised healthcare which will see you pay handsomely for treatment that is currently free. Oh, didn't know that about Nigel, did you?

The format for these sorts of interviews is pretty clearly understood by now. The interviewer reads scripted, open-ended questions, the candidates then answer off the top of their heads, in order, and after being given a reasonable amount of time, the interviewer reads the next slide, carrying the next question. This is the magic of television for you. There is no dark sinister cabal secretly rigging the debates. Grow up.
