I've said it from the beginning and I'll say it again. If you (Brexiteers in general) were ever serious about leaving, then appointing Boris Johnson to the leadership was the absolute worst possible move. The man is an imbecile, and there are plenty of grounds for doubting his conviction. He's an opportunist, not a believer. As a Remainer myself, the prospect that keeps me awake at night is not Boris Johnson - it's the idea that he gets a more competent successor. In yet another parallel with Donald Trump, we may end up with a situation where his opponents work to keep him in power, because his replacement may be far more difficult to contain.
