They handed over an NHS that was in good health, a society that was mostly functioning properly, and that was better off and happier than at any time prior to their taking office. Within 13 years, NHS waiting lists sky-rocketed, national debt reached 100% of GDP, our trading relationships with the entire world were all severed at once, and mortgage rates spiked; all amidst the worst cost of living crisis since the 70s, and inflation as high as 8%. Remind me again how Labour is "as bad as the Tories".
