  1. To my fellow lefties: if a group of ex-Republicans wants to join the coalition to get rid of Trump, let them. Right now, getting Trump out of office has to be our sole priority. We need all the help we can get, and we should welcome all the allies we can. Heck, maybe they'll actually stick around and learn some real values while they march with us.

  3. A lot of people remember Reagan differently than we on the Left do. If a bunch of ex-Reagan voters decide to go Democratic this year, we should welcome that - every vote counts in getting this monster out of the White House.

  5.  @cg1906  Your point is absolutely valid and I won't argue with you about it because you are right. However at the same time, ex-Republicans and ex-Trump voters have the power to swing this election decisively. Every single one of them that we convert is two votes closer to kicking Trump out of office. Ads like this will have a far better chance at breaking through to them that they've been cheated. We have to be prepared to meet them where they're at - not where we'd like them to be. That's all, and again, I don't disagree with you - you won't catch me slobbering over Reagan any time soon. <3

  7.  @Rhinoinasuit  The thing is, while Biden may not check every box in a Progressive's wishlist, his tax plan alone is likely to be the most progressive in US history. Yes, that's not a very high bar to meet but at least it's something. I think we have to accept that progress may come in small increments - but that's not a reason to reject it wholesale. <3
