"I mean, I'm sorry man, you've been running this thing on all sorts of fuel that its engine just wasn't meant to take. It's got clogs in all of its pipework and for some reason, every time you try to start it the radio comes on and starts repeating the same three sentences over and over. If you want though, the dealership's willing to loan you a spare just to keep you ticking over for the next four years while you shop for a long-term replacement? It's a bit elderly, but at least it still drives!"

@armychowmein8021 I feel like this is the bad kind of pedantry, when somebody decides to reach far back into a word's etymological history to rediscover an antiquated meaning, and then insist that that is the true meaning and that therefore you were wrong to say it. Words evolve, language moves forwards. On the other hand if you're just making a joke, I salute your subtlety sir. <3

If you're not careful, because of America's First Past the Post voting system (same as here in the UK), you risk creating spoiler candidates who allow a Republican / Conservative candidate to win in progressive-leaning areas, simply because the Left-leaning vote is split two ways and the Right is united. You need to get a more proportional voting system in place first, if you want third parties to become viable (which is a wish I share). Until that happens, your best bet is to capture the Democratic Party by helping Progressive candidates win Democratic Party primaries and build up a sizeable Progressive caucus in the House, and one day, in the Senate. It'll be a long road, but it's a viable one - just be under no illusion that it's going to take a long time to happen.

You know Jared Kushner is working as Trump's adviser for multiple different policy fronts, ranging from Covid19 to peace in the Middle East, right?
