@nedludd7622 If I want to know, for example, what year WW1 started, would it make more sense to purchase and read a book containing the entire history of the conflict, or to simply ask someone? It’s much more reasonable to ask a question when looking for a small, specific bit of information about a topic than it is to learn the entire history of it, especially when doing so will cost you money.

@nedludd7622 On a topic this obscure, it’s a lot more reliable, simple, and time-efficient to just ask someone who knows about the topic. It’s also a lot better than going to a library to see if they even have a book about this very-obscure and relatively unknown subject.

@pazza4555 Except in this case the guy asked one question to someone that knows the subject. If you want to go more in depth, then what you suggested is the right way to go about it, but otherwise asking is fine
