  1. The Catholic Church teaches that divorce, meaning the separation of a validly-married couple, is not possible. However this does not mean that spouses cannot be separated for their protection, and usually an annulment (a declaration that the marriage was never valid, meaning the couple was never technically married) is granted afterwards. But this idea that the Catholic thing to do in an abusive marriage is to just stick it out is completely out of line with Church teaching. However, when they then went and said that divorce is ok if the wife is cheating I genuinely got pissed off, not just because it's an incorrect/immoral statement which contradicts their previous position on the sanctity of marriage, but because it proves they never cared about their "religious convictions" in the first place. while simultaneously they prance around and act like idiots on podcasts presenting themselves as some sort of authority on Catholicism. They are the Pharisees whom Christ condemned, and they are bringing down the Church and its dogmas for the sake of internet clout and being based online.
