Though these conflicts are similar, I don't think we will see a repeat of the treaty of Moscow. The Russians were clearly not ready for stiff resistance in either conflict, but much less so in the Ukrainian war than in the winter war. Moreover, they seem to have adapted to this. What I see happening now is that they're pulling back from Kiev and regrouping around the Donbass region, where the UAF seems to be trapped (in the sense that they can't leave without being bombed to pieces), and are now trying to destroy the main portion of the Ukrainian army, only to then do what they wish with Ukraine, which will probably be either annexation or the installation of a puppet regime. Unfortunately for the Ukrainians, I don't believe it matters how much heavy equipment is given to them, since Russia's artillery far outranges anything the Ukrainians have or that NATO is willing to provide, meaning whatever equipment is given to Ukraine is destroyed before it ever even engages with Russia's main forces. Even if NATO were to establish a no-fly zone above Ukraine, (which they won't, because this would be tantamount to a declaration of war) Russian units will still be able to target and destroy Ukrainian units without being targeted themselves, forcing the UAF to retreat to urban centers and conduct guerilla warfare there. Fortunately for the Ukrainians, Russia doesn't seem willing to bomb out cities WW2-style, meaning Guerilla warfare will be much easier for them. Unfortunately for the Ukrainians, this may be a sign that Russia is planning on permanently occupying Ukraine, since it's not worth paying to destroy something you will soon own and have to pay to repair.
In any case, let's remember that both the Russians and the Ukrainians are not idiots. They know the history of the winter war as well, if not better, than we do. This is besides the fact that both sides are professionals instructed in the conduction of war, and thus probably know better than any of us do.
