  1. Yeah London has its scars from the road-first experiments but thankfully most of the largest projects never got through. Trains just move so many more people and goods.

  2. I wish for everybody’s sake there that the huge subsidies for roads could just be shifted-over to other forms of local transit. Or at least just remove them from roads so they can compete on an equal field of people seeing how expensive they really are against each other.

  3.  @scottwhitley3392  indeed, and all the cheapest blocks of flats are right next to it, with no facilities less than 20-30 minutes walk away.
