  1.  @antpoo  Ireland as a GDP of 500 billion with 2.5% of that equating to 12 billion per year. That would allow Ireland to have defence force of about 50000 personnel, 25 patrol vessels, 100 aircraft, missile defence system and so on. Not that hard for the Irish government to defend its ethnic existence. Is your next question why anybody would want to invade Ireland?

  4. Most o the internet services are US based. You are on such a service right now. The US would have initial problems but iron it out very quickly. The EU on the other hand is destroying its network system for some time to the point it has very little innovation.

  5.  @SnowLeopard-lt1vf  It is less about the US shutting it down and more to do with the likes of the EU and other regions wanting to control the networks to the point of stifling their own economic development and robustness.
