  1. This Capitalistic society / economic system is INCAPABLE to put the resources (manufactuing of drugs, medical supplies, agricultural products) to good use. Or to come up with the medical supplies in a crisis. And especially the U.S. government was unwilling, incapable of USING the Defense Production Act to force the companies into action, and FAST action (companies are still calculating HOW to make the most profit, and dragging their feet and having high prices for smaller volumes can work for them). the purpose of having an economic system (and the laws, and infrastructure to make corporations possible). the production, design, development and DISTRIBUTION of goods. Plus the consumers need to be ABLE to afford what is produced. (people do not need a Job, what they really need is an income. Most people are well capable of finding themselves something worthwhile to do, they do not need a boss, or shareholders or managment for that). Example - I saw that recently Farmers destroy the potatoe harvest because their products were sold to restaurants ? in the end Americans were eating those potatoes. Surly a competent government and farmers could have gotten together (virtually) and figured something out. Organize young and healthy people as temporary farm workers. Find and pay one person per region, that can organize things to coordinate demand and workforce and what the workers, farmers and consumers need. Charities get the harvest for free (they can pick it up). One farmer did that he told people they could come and get the potatoes and he was surpised how many came and what distance they travelled. A lot of them were charities. Someone organizes the trucks (or private vehicles), someone thinks of how to house the volunteers. Or they could PAY the people and PAY the farmers. Fed created 1,5 trillion USD to help out the speculators of Wallstreet (on March 12, 2020, that was only the start and had nothing to do with the stimulus bill. It was much earlier and it happened FAST, no strings attached, no public discussion).
