  2. WonderWhaz Try EFT (meridian tapping) - See for instance eftuniverse(dot) com - run by Dawson Church, it might be a good start (introduction video - for free), you can browse the archive. - just stay clear of of the all too commercial sites and videos on youtube heralding EFT (and courses to pay for and what not) There are plenty of good and free resources on the web of responsible EFT practicioners. Not to say you could not engage the paid help of a professional online or in person - some doctors, psychotherapists also have adopted EFT or Meridian Tapping into their toolbox. And an experienced practicioner might be of help too - even if they are legally not allowed to work directly at mental health issues like anxiety, they offer it for well being - and if anxiety fades away - or pain - it is a lucky side effect (legally speaking). But there is definitely value in having tested the method, it is ALSO an easy to learn and to use self help tool (so fumbling rookies can have success right away, even when they are not getting it all right - while an experienced practicioner can be helpful to increase your success rate or help with those issues where the self-help approach does not work for you.) So whatever you might do with the help of a professional - being able to do homework can boost your success. Dawson Church has a large archive of stories of use of EFT (you can search for trauma, PTSD or people that were in a similar situation as you. Browse the stories to get a feel how others - users or practicioners - used the methode in a specific case. Meridian tapping calms down the Amygdala. Since it works on a central part of the human brain (or the processing of information) - it has a lot of uses for medical AND psychological afflictions. So don't be astonished at the wide range of areas where people use it. The motto is "Try it on everything" - and as it is easy and does not cost much time or money - so why not. (Provided that you will not neglect to seek professional medical help if a condition does not get better - using common sense and discretion) Good luck to you. P.S.: I also like the U.K. practicioners some of whom have directly trained with the founder of the method Gary Craig.  search for EFT UK Gwyneth Moss, or EFT masters. They usually provide introduction for self help and explanations and offer case studies and examples.

  4.  @thomaspayne6866  Yes the much larger turbines were added in the competition with Airbus, but Boeing did not want to introduce that as major change (requiring MORE pilot training or a longer admission process - argument for sales). Boeing more or less hid the fact from pilotes and airlines that they needed software to correct the quirks coming from the design change - that there were such quirks. To make matters worse they had only ONE sensor for this critical function (I think airbus has 3 for a similar function so there is backup if one sensor malfunctions. As one would expect in aviation). the manuals did not explain that the software was different compared to the former models and that there was a way to override if the computer went crazy doing the correction (or getting wrong data from the sensor - sensor not sensors). Also: the flight problem that the software was supposed to solve is not uncommon - it might have been better to let pilotes correct that manually. Or at least point it out what the software was supposed to correct in the training and ALSO include training for emergency situations. Training establishes routines - for the pilots to fall back on when the situation is stressful and needs quick reactions. (That military training with the extremely fast machines and the difficutly landing conditions really paid off in the Qantas incident. Deeply ingrained flight routines also reduce the stress level of the pilot when the shit hits the fan - meaning the pilot does not get the full Adrenaline rush and his frontal lobes continue functioning. Ideally he has all the automatisms AND the conscious (but slower) part of the brain at his or her disposal in an emergency situation. Difficulties with the software of Boeing had been reported before - but those pilots were lucky and could solve the situation. We know that there were statements made at a forum where pilots can post comments and can point out problems. But nothing was done (that was after the first crash, but before the 2nd plane crashed in Ethiopia).
