  1. it would have been good to have something at the curbstones. All cars slowed down and were hesistant to go over it (the SUV not). And you have to be careful - this is not just about avoiding some damage - you do not want to damage you car to the point you cannot drive anymore. I guess they had nothing they could pack there to form a kind of "ramp".
