  4. Roland, let me help you: OLDER people (of all races) are not voting on policy or on record - but they turn out. The young people that DO turn out vote for Sanders (all races). The reason for that is policies. They would just as well go with Biden or with someone younger like Harris or Booker if they trusted them and if they had a solid platform. So the media fawning over this or that candidate does not cut it. I say they ARE misinformed because they tend to get their "news" from Corporate media = millionaires doing propaganda on behalf of billionaires - and not independent sources. I also disagree that Biden is better suited than Sanders to beat Trump, he is one of the weakest candidates. But again: people heard that message day in, day out - and they (read many more older viewers of TV) believe it. Maybe the tanking economy helps Biden (there is a chance they replace sundowning Biden - then his stand in). But this is not going to be easily won. Biden has a lot of the baggage like Hillary Clinton BUT she was mentally fit. He isn't. Trump is also in cognitive decline (compare with footage of 2012 of Biden and interviews of Trump of 15 years ago). But Trump knows how to act on the stage, he took out the Republican field in 2016, and he is as stupid and uninformed now as he was then. Does not seem to deter many voters OR scare others to vote against him for any candidate the establishment coronates. AN INFORMED person would know that Biden ran a light campaign and that his staff "hides" him. If they don't and if he has to exert himself (like campaigning as hard as everybody else in only ONE state: in South Carolina) he promptly adds footage of him malfunctioning. Badly.

  7. Wait: it is O.K. that Biden does not campaign a lot (or at all). He didn't in many Super Tuesday states, especially in the South. Now Sanders MUST campaign, and invest time (his own) and resources (staff, money) and activate volunteers, etc. Sanders does not have clones and while his org is large, they still have limited resources. He did not have a BLACK surrogate to come on ? the show is in D.C. - that is not where the action was before mini Super Tuesday ! And what would be wrong with the surrogate of another race, as long as they understand the strategy regarding the outreach to black voters ? I guess Jesse Jackson or Harry Belafonte were not available and wouldn't travel to D.C. Nina Turner and his campaign speaker were busy - in Michigan ! Which at that day was more important than anything else (that video has 18,000 views, the channels has not even 500,000 subscriptions, just checked it, no it is not a spin off from TV, these ARE the views, that would certainly not warrant to neglect Michigan when it is so important). Well they all were busy campaigning in Michigan because they have to EARN the vote, Biden gets it by being the VP of Obama, with the help of Corporate media and of billionaires now paying for his ads, and of course he was a big number in the Clinton era. During that time he did a lot to devastate black communities, but he is lucky, he get's a pass. Sanders doesn't get one for not being able to change the opinion in a country of 330 milion people despite the media misleading voters about him. Just ONE example I have lived in countries with single payer, half the spending per person than the U.S. (well 54 % and 56 % Austria and Germany) and good services. I have yet to hear a nuanced good faith, knowledeable factual conversation on Corporate media about that issue. Two exceptions: an interview by Chris Hayes and by Velshi: he is Canadian, so he can't help himself he "gets" single payer. Needless to say now his partner Ruhle covers healthcare now inorder to put on the spin that is liked by advertisers and owners of the networks. Biden wasn't present in Alabama for instance, no rallies no ground game. Won in a landslide. Now, that is fine for him that he can win on name recognition only. he also did not campaign in 2012 or later there, did he ? Unlikely, because the state is red in the general and Obama did not have a primary in 2012. Biden ran in the primaries of 2008 for a short time, so I am sure that he showed up in the South. They sure are loyal in the South.

  10.  Laura Nasewytewa  black hair is different (can be dry, fuzzy, very curly) - and BRAIDING it is a good way to "tame" it and to be well groomed (and have the hair out of your face). Dying hair is NOT an expression of cultural identity, and it does not get better if the hairstyles defined as "less than" are typical for a certain group that was historically first enslaved and then suppressed. Would they also restrict native Americans wearing their hair in a traditonal manner (that can be long parted for the males and 2 braids). I get that a Catholic school would not want an Iroquoise for other students, but if a descendent of that Canadian tribe shows up - rules are meant to be reasonable, just and justified, and flexible. Actually dying of hair should not be done for children and younger teenagers, the substances are more harmful for young people. Certain dyes are not legal to use in hairsalons if the client is under 16 in the European Union. And they do not sell them for use of consumers. The equivalent would be if a pony tail or having 2 straight braids would be forbidden for girls (typical "caucasian" ways to deal with hair if you do not wear it short or open). Or to outlaw wearing a headband. There is no rational and good reason for such rules. Some bored suburban racists moms had too much time at their hands during the summer. Maybe they got scared that too many of those people are allowed in the nice Catholic school. There is also no rational and good reason to ban what this girl was wearing. I find it is over the top to use hair color for ayounger teenager, but that style of hair is worn by MANY black women and girsl alike.
