  1. + Galax getting rid of "radical socialists" - spoken like a good donor puppet. And BTW: who would those radicals be ? - am I missing something here ? That IS the role the Big Donors have assigned to the Demorcratic Party - to suppress and capture any real progressive movement should it ever emerge. - Obamas was good in that area - Wallstreet did not donote to him in vain in 2008.

Galaxy is a shill - but I do not want to let such remarks stand unchallenged if I find the time, and more important: I learnt from comments and links of fellow commenters and hope to do the same for other people (give food for thought even or especially when this was triggered by a shill's comment). If I have time I like to formulate my thoughts, then I can use paste and copy.  - The idea that winning elections is NOT the most important thing for Democrats: Only in recent years I realized that (thanks to info on the web). I have to admit I was completely PUZZLED in 2000. Why would the sitting president and his VP not raise hell when the Republicans (Bush's brother !) in Florida purged the voter rolls ?? Stealing the vote from black men !! Given that they KNEW that they would need to win Florida, never mind defending one of the most valuable civic rights, never mind defending a minority. NOW I understand, the donors did not and do not want the boat rocked, the unwashed masses must not question if this is even a democracy, doubt the integrity of the elections. The media assist them in that effort. In 2000 before the elections ! Bill Clinton kept silent, Al Gore rolled over (not sure wether he was bribed or threatened or coerced by the party - likely a combination of the three - there was a talk with a higher up Dem (not Clinton) directely after the election. Even European papers reported about the purge - some months before the elections. the Democratic Party wanted to continue to get donor money, so they had to make Gore fall in line. This was not only about Gore, this was about how the DONORS would PROVIDE FOR the whole Democratic party, financing campaigns and EVEN more important - TAKE CARE OF EX-POLITICIANS.

  3. +goodgulf - I identified the ROOT CAUSE of why U.S. (and also European politicians sell out) - I regret to hear you were not able to PROCESS my arguments (or did you even read beyond 1 sentence ?) As I adress the deep and systemic problems in politics and hope to have some challenging and original insights to it - , yes that takes more than one paragraph or 140 characters. Hope to be of service to those WHO CAN READ and COMPREHEND.
