Biden: "I run on three challenging platforms. I talked about "restoring the soul of the nation" and Charlottesville and won " No that is a lame statment, he does not get brownie points for being agains terrorism of White Nationalists. But the big donors like those fluff slogans, they mean nothing specific and even if you dig into it what that means, that is not going to be something that could possibly reduce their profits.
The restoring of the soul of the nation (a goal with no economic or military impact) has not worked, 70 million people cast their vote for Trump, 68 % pass for the best voter turnout in over 100 years (it would be 80 - 85 % in other nations), at least 50 % of Republicans support that there was fraud or that Biden did not win.
And even if people would lap up the slogan: the restored soul is still shackled to debt, still has not Medicare for all, no stimulus help, the military budget is insane, and hundreds of thousands of people are locked up. Not mental health care, drug on wars (cheered on by Biden for decades) etc.
the 6 million more popular votes are not as good as they may seem. Biden got well over 60 % of the vote in CA, he got 5 million more votes there than Trump. In New York ONLY one million votes more (that is worrying).
The election (EC wise) was way too close for comfort. Biden won 4 states with a total of 125,000 votes more (AZ, GA, WI and PA). he needed at least 2 of those 4 states (any combination would have sufficed. But one - not even PA - would not have been enough. WI and AZ (10 and 11 electors) would have just gotten him the minimum of 270 electors).
Trump won 3 states with a total of 70,000 votes in 2016 (MI, WI, PA).
If the Republicans do not run an idiot in the middle of a pandemic and severe economic crisis that is their responsibility - chances are that AZ and GA are NOT in play next time. So it comes down to WI and PA and maybe MI - and they could fall either way.
FL and OH: Obama won FL once and OH twice. Biden and HRC failed to win both. And Trump extended his margin in those states !
No Trump LOST. Biden "won" against an historically bad president, an idiot, in the middle of a mismananged pandemic. What an achievement.
