@kurtkish6970 Yes to Nina firebrand-got-a-spine Turner. (It is no disadvantage that she will turn out the minority vote, big time)

@mariabeltran1690 Sanders does not look tired to me (he has a reputation of having a lot of energy and he toured the country after summer 2016 - first the nearly 40 rallies for HRC and then after Nov. he seamlessy continued to fight for healthcare. - and I do not think that Warren has a chance, and Beto is not even close. Kamala Harris could have a chance - but the latest polling - so early - is encouraging.

@kurtkish6970 One way to use identitiy politics is to rile up people against [ insert group]. He would not give it room if there weren't atempts on the other side. But he in no way restricts himself to that - it is a few sentences in a speech that is packed with content. No fluff like "access to healthcare" and let's keep and improve ACA etc. The Dems cannot go for CONTENT and SPECIFICI POLICIES, they have to play nice with the donors. Hardly anyone will call out the pharma industry or the 3 wealthiest families like he does.

@CharlesB-NGNM In the spirit of recycling - out with the 2016 yard signs ;)

@mariabeltran1690 Yes that one can fear - that Beto would be another Obama, all talk and as soon as there is a chance to get into power you can watch them falter (even E. Warren, she is also more bark than action). beto takes SuperPac money among other things from the oil industry (oil). And I think he and Gillum got the talking to from the leadership (Obama visited Gillum shortly before the GE). So Gillum also starting backtracking from MfA. Of course - Obama is the protector of the profits of the private insurance industry. So Gillum - if he wanted the Obama endorsement and a rally that could have helped him win - had to fall in line in hope that the Obama efforts would be enough to help him win in Florida. And it always works like that: the voters get promises and then the politician does no even try. - I mean for once they could take the money of the Big Donors to get elected and then betray the donors. But that is not what happens. Beto would have been better for Texas but as president he is not nearly decisive and independent enough and he too is owned by special interests.

In 2015 there was a campaign "Run, Elizabeth, ran" but Warren did not take the "bait" - I assume she did not want to annoy the Clinton's and their machine in the party. Sanders entered only when he knew she would not participate, they coordinated on that. - of course Sanders and Jeff Weaver planned with 30 million USD (they got 230 or 240 in small donations) - so he did not really think he had a shot - he wanted to alter the conversation. Well, that did work. Warren is not quite as shy now to enter the race. Can't imagine that she had the decency to coordinate with Sanders. And it seems she is already backtracking on positions. Accepting big donations not in the primaries but likely in the GE ... does she expect to get points for that ?? On the other hand w/o the delay if he had started a few months earlier (announcement was end of April or 1st of May 2015). Which btw Ed Schulz wanted to cover live and he had a prerecorded interview with Sanders. 5 minutes before start upper managment told Ed he had to stand down, no coverage (so the team was for nought in Burlington). That resulted in a heated discussion but Ed had to yield - and got fired 40 days later.

@dorothyn.7500 Nina could bring the black vote, is a firebrand and has a spine (meaning to be frank she would also be the life insurance for Sanders).

Richard Peck Sanders / Turner, Tulsi Gabbard as Secretary of State, and a role for Lawrence Wilkerson - the latter should resonate with your military background (I will boldly assume you are not eager for sending soldiers to more wars). Check him out on TheRealNews, I find him highly informative on foreign and military policy and it is all connected to domestic policy of course. For instance his recent excellent interview. The “Permanent War State” Aims to Plunder Venezuela - Wilkerson and Jay. https://therealnews.com/stories/the-permanent-war-state-aims-to-plunder-venezuela-wilkerson-and-jay

.....Must be such a blow to the ego of Hillary Clinton .....

@KenyanBunnie they get money directly and indirectly (the same oligarchs buy regular ads AND a lot of the insane campaign spending also ends up with mainstream media in form of campaign ads. Plus the networks belong to very rich people and the presenters (to avoid the word journalists) are either wealthy or at least want to keep their job.

@TheBillyBlack ... and he asked for the use of private planes when campaigning his behind off for Clinton. ..... Which Clinton staffers found offensive recently because Sanders takes Climate Change seriously (I was under the impression the Democratic establishment in general claims to take that seriously - but I disgress) .... well the thing with the private plane is not going to improve with Airforce One.
