Thank you for this. For your interest and information the women’s concentration camp was Ravensbrück, not Ravensburg. I read the Höss autobiography a number of years ago, and recall that the few emotions he expressed were disillusionment with the Catholic Church (confessional priest told his parents about his childish misdemeanours!) and anger at the incompetence/laziness of some of his camp subordinates. No emotions whatsoever about the more-than-one-million murders he supervised; nor about the hundreds of thousands of people whom he watched decline and die of exhaustion, starvation and camp-induced disease. On a visit to Jerusalem in the 1920s he also became very angry at the dishonesty of Catholic vendors who tried to sell him a bottle of soil, saying “This is the very soil on which the blood of Jesus fell.” Interesting that Höss became so angered and straight-laced at these comparative trivialities but felt nothing at all about the murders he later organised. Forever a mystery - unless in the next few years psychiatry reaches untold heights of wisdom. Thank you again for these accurate and very important videos.

Thank you for this. Surprisingly, it contains at least two inaccuracies, and I don’t say this lightly. First: It was not at the Wannsee meeting that the decision was made to annihilate the Jewish people of Europe. The decision was made well prior to this meeting. (You stated this correctly in your documentary about Reinhard Heydrich.) At the Wannsee conference on 20 January 1942, plans for the “Final Solution” were co-ordinated. The 15 participants in the conference simply made fairly specific plans for the deportation and killing of Jews. It is a pity that you had this correctly in another documentary, and yet incorrectly in this one. Second: Somewhere between 46 and 50 minutes into this documentary the narrator said that Hitler was “holed up in a wartime bunker in Poland.” This is not so. Where this information could have been found, I have no idea. It is simply inaccurate. Hitler was certainly holed up in his Berlin bunker and sometimes at the “Wolf’s Lair”, but never in Poland. Having these documentaries available to us is a great gift - but not if there are inaccuracies. Please remember that amongst the people who watch your videos there are bound to be a number who have spent their entire lives as scholars of the Shoah.

@algini12 : Good grief. Of course the slave labourers were starved. They died in their thousands of starvation. Do you really think the Germans were going to properly feed Jewish people? The plan, as you surely must have read, was to entirely annihilate European Judaism through (a) shooting (read The Holocaust by Bullets by Father Patrick Desbois); (b) overwork plus starvation (read any authoritative work on the Holocaust); (3) gassing, at Belzec, Chelmno, Sobibor, Majdanek, Treblinka and - of course - Auschwitz. Then there was the fact that these slave labourers lived in the caves in which they worked, and simply died there from starvation and were left in those caves. Speer and his deputy Sauckel saw this happening. Didn’t bother them. Plenty of Jews left to be starved to death. Please, if you’re going to voice your opinion on the Holocaust, first read some books. Not the books written by Jewish people (if you don’t like Jews), but the ones written by hundreds of non-Jews. They are scholars of the Holocaust.

The number of Jewish people in every single European country has always, and I mean ALWAYS, been vastly lower than the number of other ethnicities in each country. Use your brains. Try to think about why Hitler chose the Jewish people to annihilate. There were and are a number of reasons, and none of them were “colonising Semitics.” THINK. USE THE BRAINS NATURE GAVE YOU.

Thank you. Kaltenbrunner was as evil as Hitler, Himmler, Goebbels and all the rest of them. It’s interesting that France is always referred to as belonging to the Allies, when it is well-known that the French were collaborators who sent thousands of Jews to their deaths. The French police did this of their own free will, in Paris of all places - but they were allies of the British and US?? The myth of them as Allies has quite successfully been perpetuated. Clever people. Thank you for these documentaries. You are refreshing my very vivid memories, and I’m sure also the memories of others. And you’re providing knowledge to the younger people.
